focusing on what truly matters
There are some things you do because you think you have to, and there are things that are essential to making something happen.
"Oh I'll just do it, it won't take too long" "Yeah I can do that too, it's quite easy" "Of course I can help!"
How many of those are things you do because you think you have to, and how many of those are conscious choices where you will actually achieve an outcome?
Unfocused leaders tend to manage their work in a way where "all of it is important" and "We can do everything", however that can easily lead to burning out, waste of resources and a misuse of talent - and most of all, not achieving your plan.
The best leaders are able to be intentional about what is essential say no to what is not. They are able to give the clear and simple direction, refocus their people and do only what is necessary. When we every change agent we create through an AIESEC experience counts, its our responsibility to focus only on what truly matters.
Have a great week!

MARketing RESULTS
It's time for last minute Attraction!
We're in the last month of uni, and EPs will start going on exchange in as little as four weeks. What descriptors would you use when talking about the type of person who would go from Stranger to Realised in 4 weeks?
Adventurous? Yolo? Risk-taking?
Keep brainstorming those descriptors and then work out how you can adapt your current marketing messages to better reach those people. Are there certain things you should say at stalls? Certain photos you should display? Big things you can do to attract these people in a huge volume?
This is the month where you can either limp past the finish line of semester, or have huge growth in your results: what do you choose?

[NATIONAL PROJECTS] Winter and SUMMER
We are one approve away from being on par with 2016 results to date!
ICX Results
ICX Weekly Priority:
a) Follow up, Follow up and Follow up:
Not only continue following up your current leads, but also follow up the meetings that you have attended. It's really important to remember that after the meeting the sale is not close and we have to keep following up, not as often as we used to do it with Leads but at least every 2 or 3 days, with a call and an email.
b) Smart Sales:
After you attend a meeting you have a good or a bad feeling. If you know that this company is not going to close that contract only follow up once send what the ask and put that company on stand by, follow up every week. You have to concentrate your effort and time on the company that actually showed a strong willingness to partner with AIESEC.
If you are not sure whether the company wants to partner with AIESEC or not, do a few follow ups and sense their commitment to close as soon as possible if you don't feel a possible yes. As the sale person you know that you need to move to a better prospect.
