make it work this October: powerful conversations together
"What can we do with three days in the most powerful room in AIESEC in Australia?"
This was the question that drove the creation and delivery of the October Presidents' Meeting that happened just this weekend in Sydney (output here if you're interested), with both the 2017 and 2018 generations of the National Leadership Team (NLT). Spending most of our time within the four walls of the office, the MC really didn't discount the importance of representatives from all around the country gathering to direct the course for the next 55 days before we meet again in Melbourne.
What made the room powerful was not only the fact that LCPs as the drivers of their LCs, or the MC as a servicing body, were the ones there. The real power lay within the conversations we chose to have - not all of them easy to talk about, let alone implement - to create more impact through AIESEC. Yet, because we had them together, physically surrounded by the people who would make it work, it became a necessity that was possible.
The numbers we're making represent the people and the experiences we are enabling them to create. Look around you the next time you're on campus - what potential do you see for the person on the lawn, walking to their tute, or buying their coffee? How will you choose to have powerful conversations within and outside of AIESEC, and take action to bring more of these leadership development experiences, faster, to them?

September Audit data is out! Make sure you use the key learnings from your LC and improve on those specific people processes that will matter for this month! Is it driving execution? Is it team leader training? Is it having clear action plans? Do what makes sense for your LC based on what the data tells you!
Remember - it's crunch time! Think - what does our talent need in order to make October a success? Is it purpose? Is it strategy? Is it discipline? Is it skills? Is it more HR power? Figure out what makes sense for your LC and turn it into a reality. Make sure those messages are sent throughout your LC - newsletters, LCMs, team meetings, EBMs - everything to make sure roles and responsibilities are clear :)
