we strive for peace & fulfilment of humankind's potential.
this is what that looks like in aiesec in colombia.
I was moved to make this week's address about the recent peace deal in Colombia.
This was posted my friend, the MCP of AIESEC in Colombia, regarding the situation currently in her country. As the President of a youth-run organisation aiming to develop global minded leaders all over the world, she clearly articulated this point - that the transformation of the a nation begins with the transformation of each individual of that nation. AIESEC strives for Peace and Fulfilment of Humankind's potential, and each AIESEC entity - whether it be AIESEC in Australia or Colombia - is doing everything in its power to achieve peace in their own countries and in the world at the same time. We create powerful exchange opportunities that have an impact on the individual, who in turn makes an impact on the community around them. This indirect impact is what makes us different - building world citizenship that lasts in a person. Peace - whether it be in Australia or Colombia - is about peace for the world. Don't forget that the more leaders who are self aware, solution-oriented world citizens who empower others - the more change that brings to the world. Don't forget that those leaders are being developed through our unique and challenging exchange programs. Don't forget that the more exchange opportunities we work to facilitate, the more we contribute to Peace and Fulfilment of Humankind's potential. #leadfearlessly #lovehard Have a great week! "Some people may be sad that the year is coming to an end, but for me there's so much to look forward to! I honestly can't wait to start my Global Entrepreneur experience in Taiwan this summer break, a chance to gain experience, explore cultures and discover my passion!" - Melissa Yip, MU
"I recently graduated with a degree in Business Management majoring in Sustainability. Community development has always been a passion of mine which is why I chose a development based project that focused on SDG 10. What makes me super excited about this project is that it gives me a chance to flex my skills that I learnt in several of my university courses and receive a sense of fulfilment that I have actively contributed to progress and creating a positive change, which is the leadership that I stand for. " - Arvin Tate, UQ "Ever since I joined AIESEC, i've always wanted to go to Egypt and I always thought it would be for a GC in Social Entrepreneurship. But then I saw a Global Entrepreneur project in Egypt called "Unicorn Project". It's all about Business Development and knew that it was the kind of lit project for me! 🙏" - Connor Smale, RMIT |

SEPTEMBER REVIEW
We're grown 100% in approves for oGET! Great job guys!
OCtober so far
Note: We don't have ICX data for October yet due to the long weekend!
We're now into October - what inferences are you getting from these numbers?
oGC:
We've gotten off to a strong start so far in October, with 3 Approves so far this month. It's the last few weeks of classes - how can we make the most of the time we have to physically engage students on our campus, to get Applications and Approves? We have heaps of projects ready for Australian EPs in India, Mainland of China and Indonesia in particular - how can we market these countries to our current applicants and potential EPs?
oGT/E:
Great job in 100% growth in Approves over September, that's a great achievement! And October has been great so far as well, with 1 quick Approve coming already. We've been getting heaps of Applicants, but they haven't been getting Approved because they haven't been applying to the right projects - what can we do to get our EPs to apply to projects where there's a great supply and huge demand for Australian EPs?
iGT:
Looking through September, one thing to focus on is giving a sense of urgency to enablers to close the contracts, and then being urgent in matching opportunities after they are opened. Approves have been difficult to get because our enablers haven't been aligned in our supply and about our country partners - we need to ensure we align our enablers with our IR partners, on an operational level and purpose level. Our conversion rate from leads and meetings has been low, as there has been a lack of LCs tracking and following up after the initial contact.
