Hey AIESEC in Australia
There's 9 days left until the end of August! It has honestly been crazy how fast time is going (My MCP term is almost coming to an end). I always thought that Semester 2 flew by even more then semester 1. There's so much to do and time is definitely limited. How can we create a sense of urgency within our local committee for attraction month? ICX and OGX both have their peak months of attraction starting with August so how are taking advantage of this? The question isn't are we doing enough things but rather Are we doing enough of the right things? The answer to this is reflected in the results that you're getting! Everything that you do within your LC must lead to exchange results because we're an organisation that develops leadership through cross-cultural exchange. #launchandlearn There is no time like the present. You will never know if something works until you execute it completely. Let's make these 9 days count! Louise Your MCP proxy :) |

#hackathon SOLUTION & way forward
"We are not alone in achieving #PnF. How can we create a youth-driven/centric movement with the SDGs that leads to exchange? How can we excite more young people about #futuregoals and make it go viral?"
Winning answer: Engaging SDG displays around campus (Henry UNSW)
MC Recommendations for next week:
There have been a lot of great ideas but so far have not seen any been implemented! Looking forward to seeing the execution of this brilliant idea. #AllWeHaveIsNOW! Let's end August on a high :)

Brief Story and Results: So AIESEC ANU for their main attraction period has been utilizing Google Cardboard to promote exchange results. Basically, within the GC there are phones that are playing videos using Google Cardboard (GC) mode on YouTube that feature scenery and locations from all around the world (mainly in our country partners and targets such as Indonesia and Spain). We leave our GC on a table in the middle of our campus with the sign "Try Me" on it and when students walk past, they put on the Cardboard with the videos playing throughout. After they finish, we approach them and ask them what they thought about the video, the locations and whether or not they'd be interested. We follow up by saying they can see these locations upfront if they go in an exchange with AIESEC, and move on by stating all the necessary benefits that a GC or GT has, followed by having them sign up on Podio. So far there have been at least 80 EOIs generated.
Key Learnings: We learned that follow up is very important for this event. If people just walk away after using the GC, we could lose a lot of potential customers. Furthermore, we also learnt to make the table with the GC look more attractive for people to stop by with. |
How are we growing from 2015?
What inferences are you getting from these numbers?
How are we making the next 9 day count to finish August on a high?
oGT: How can we ensure that we are getting applicants to IR opportunities (E.g India)
oGC: The time is now to get matches as already proven by UNSW, Monash and ANU! Congratulations so let's get more applicants and focus on converting the applications we have
iGT: The objective is to get meetings! Are we contacting enough leads to get these meetings?
