Hellllooo People!
9 days to go until new year's!
I've just wrapped up chairing at AIESEC in Cambodia's national leadership development conference! To summarise the experience with people from AIESEC in Cambodia, I would say "action oriented" "encouraging " and "fun loving".
Action oriented
On the first day, we received 77/77 feedback form responses within 10minutes.
Caring
People here will cheer for one another no matter what. Their support for one another is unconditional, from performances, awarding to session participation. Not for the sake of it, but with the intention of really celebrating courage.
Fun-loving
They will always ask if you've eaten, slept or enjoyed your experience here. And people here will not treat you differently (for better or worse) because you look different. They're also super fun, would cheer, chant, dance and sing like crazy! Australia has one to compete with ;)
Our partnership took off with Linda from UWA representing Australia in the national conference, interacting with many other delegates so please give her a huge shout out for her and UWA never settling to make Cambodia Australia IR SHIINE.
See you next week
Always remember to

Hello OGV Peeps!
Into the last full week of January! For the currents, these are the last few days of your term; what are you gonna do to make the last few days count? For elects, we're down to the last few days before you start your term, so what do we gotta do to make sure that we're prepared?
A few call to actions for this week, and this is towards making sure that we are ready to wrap up this week strong:
1. Make sure that everyone is scheduling times for individual and group debriefs for FIN - CO activity.
2. Make sure that goals and plans will need to be finalized by the end of this week!
- we need to make sure that we have had our plans finalized during this upcoming week, that way next week we can just EXECUTE! :)
3. Start following up with Opens!
-We have a few new Opens that are coming in during this week, make sure that you have started going through the processes of contacting your Opens! Check EXPA to see who are the New EPs that are on your EXPA!
Keep an eye out for new updates for the OGV National Education and events that will be happening this week for this semesters Product Packaging!
Cheers,
Alex #weretheshit

MARketing UPDATE

Hello beautiful people 😍🤩
How are we growing our brand internally to showcase externally?
2019! START OF A NEW SPANKING YEAR ~
MY JAN THOUGHTS:
"Near the end of 2018 I've been following these guys on social media called "Yes Theory", and they've got this awesome tagline -
"Seek Discomfort" and boy did I instantly feel the power of these words and how it resonates with my experience here in AIESEC so far. It's always those challenging, discomforting, scary things that really push you to grow. So this year in 2019 part of the many things I wish to do, an approach I wish to take inspired by these people is to say yes to more and seek discomfort inside and outside of AIESEC - How about you?"
OPERATIONAL REMINDERS:
1. LC Plans have just been submitted the previous week and I hope you guys will be finishing your transitions and reviewing these plans to let 2019 be a bigger and better year for your LCs.
2. BA say what? People are on exchange, how will we make the most of their stories (an EST is coming up to help us with this very soon)
3. Recruitment is open now! I've emailed a few considerations for elects
4. Got spanking new ideas and things you wish to challenge to make marketing grow even more? Feel free to message and speak your mind! We're only going to live 2019 once ;)
EST is closed now and announcement coming this week!
ATTRACTION CAMPAIGN DREAMING TOMORROW WEDNESDAY 8PM - MARK IT DOWN IN CAL!
BUMP ON THAT RECRUITMENT PUSH ;)

Hiya!
We've talked about how January is a month of lead follow up from any previous semester pipeline. However, you may be wondering, how do I actually re-introduce the relationship when we haven't talked for a while (think like 2 or more months)?
I think it's easy to make a mistake with this part. The assumption is that "Hm, as long as I shoot them a message, it should be fine." In a perfect world, that would be, but we unfortunately don't live in a perfect world haha. Companies are busy! The people you're contacting have a million other things that they're working on and have occupied their mind with since the last time. You should still be firm on gaining their ear again, but that don't assume that they'll always instantly remember AIESEC.
Tips:
- If you've had an ongoing conversation with them previously, pick up the previous email thread. In your new email, reference the past conversation and why they were interested in AIESEC at that time. Offer to meet with them again, refresh their memory in person! #MeetingsAreCrucial
- If you never really got past the LeadGen FU or LeadCon stage, then start the conversation from scratch. Put the time and attention into them that any new lead would require, and if they remember you, they'll steer the conversation.
It's simple to re-introduce relationships, but truly be #CustomerCentric and think about where they're at as well. Go out there and start chatting! #ConsistentAction
All my love,
Eileen

Jump starting
January is the month to JUMPSTART. It is the most important month of the year. It really sets the tempo for the rest of the months.
Last week, I spoke about the jumpstart mentality and how the voice in the head is the only thing that matters.
So this week - I want to talk about your jumpstarting. Finally selected a full EST! 4 sales development managers, 2 B2B Marketing Managers and 1 National Account Delivery Manager. It's an exciting time to see where we can take the PD sales for AIESEC in Australia. We hope that the team will be built around being courageous. Can't wait to work with them!
Congrats to: Saad, Kinzah, Alyssa, Sherlyn, Janice, Linh and Shubham!
On a lighter note, and continuing past tradition, the phrase I have for this week is:
"To Have A Wide Face"
It's a Japanese saying which means that this person has a lot of friends!!. So if someone from the entity “has a wide face” - let me know and I will want to friend them too!
As always - can't wait to hear this! Enjoy the Summer
