#conferences
Second day back in office after arriving back from International President's Meeting.
It was the best conference that came at the best time of the year - with many realisations and learnings to reground and refocus ourselves as an organisation.
3 key highlights of IPM
1. AIESEC is not a system, AIESEC is a part of a system #partnership4exchange
2. Daily Tracking + open conversation about progress = urgency (we do too much and don't measure it)
3. Measure yourself to the market you exist in, not comparing to others
(bonus) "Find a way to solve the problems. If legal is a problem, find a way to get to the Prime Minister"
(bonus) "If you don't grow your social media brand reach, how do you expect to grow in IGT"
There are opportunities within AIESEC that allows and creates spaces for members of the organisation to reground and refocus ourselves.
The next one coming up in the nation for any NSW AIESECers is Regional Induction Conference this weekend! Look out for your state/region's conference dates and register early! Get in touch with operations and the direction of the organisation to better understand what the contribution of our roles are.

Hello OGV peeps!
How are those calls going? Hope you are seeing some results coming through after your first full week of getting to know the Outgoing Global Volunteer Process. Make sure that you are working with your teams to understand how to keep improving the contact and the message.
How are those calls going? Hope you are seeing some results coming through after your first full week of getting to know the Outgoing Global Volunteer Process. Make sure that you are working with your teams to understand how to keep improving the contact and the message.
Make sure that you are educating yourselves, start understanding the general processes for holding a Consultancy Chat or having a call. This week you should be continuing the process. But keep it fun! Try to learn more about the other person, what are their goals, their ambitions, and what do they want to get out of the experience. If you can ask those, and match it with a project that you know about, say to Taiwan or Vietnam, then you'll be off to a beautiful start! Here's a quick call to action for this week for you to get that in as fast as possible:
CTAs
Practice calling with your team and Team Leaders/Vice President! Try to run through different scenarios on how an exchange participant would respond and ask for feedback for what needs to be said! The more practice that you get, the more used to it you'll be
The biggest thing here is repetition; once you get the hang of it, it'll be natural for you in talking to anyone! I was once in your shoes too; trying to call people as a super shy, introverted guy. But after practicing over and over with the support of my fellow teammates, I was able to figure out the best way to talk to Exchange Participants, and how to communicate what an AIESEC Global Volunteer experience is all about.
Start contacting your Opens! Start taking action now! Make those calls!
Cheers,
Alex #weretheshit

MARketing UPDATE
Brand Whores
Spreading consistent brand awareness in order to be more visible at uni whilst creating a positive perception of the organisation
How are we growing our brand internally to showcase externally?
MaC Summit coming on the 8-10th
stay tuned as it will be live streamed and output will be after for anyone and everyone to learn
Coming into March we are starting our attraction peak ~
Few things to lookout and focus on this month are:
Stalls: We will hold consistent stalls to maintain our brand presence and inflow of Opens during the month
Info-sessions/App spaces: Event management and promotions of these events to push open to applicant
UR: This month we begin all our lecture bashes and start executing on any society partnerships we have planned
BA: Finalise collection of all BA materials and really build the stories in your oGV operations (CCs, infoseshs, stalls, etc)
Reminder comm chat is Thursday 8pm this week!
~March thoughts~
When you thought things were getting crazy at the start of semester of AIESEC with o-week and recruitment period. Well things are about to kick up even more with uni, work and other life commitments smacking us in the face. When I was in this period of time I really learnt how to prioritise what I find important and work on those items as best as I can. Some people say it's about cutting out unnecessary hours and some say it's about making the hours you do put in more efficient but ultimately it's about finding what's best for you as developing this skill will be one of the most important aspects you can take out of being a young person handling many commitments!

iGT
Hello iGT Boxers!
Welcome to any new iGT members who may be joining the network! Confused on what being an iGT Boxer means? Ask your VP about the national iGT identity! You'll also find out soon :)
We've talked over the past few weeks about kicking off your sales peak. As we head into our last week of February, it's important we're finishing the last week strong so we can carry that pipeline into lots of March meetings! While your generating your leads and following up with companies, it's really important that know WHAT we sell and WHO we sell to, and I'm not just talking about Global Talent and companies.
Use our Pre-Attraction Resources to see more information on:
- Customer Personas: Profiles of the main type of decision makers we contact - It helps us understand their own personal interests so we make stronger connections between Global Talent and their goals/challenges. Use it to help you understand who to contact in a company, better address their needs, and ultimately be more customer centric!
- National JDs: The 4 main JDs/roles we can fill for a company - It helps narrow our focus and make our selling more specific! When we sell Global Talent to a company, it can be sometimes too broad with all it's options and choices. By selling these 4 main JDs, we can specifically show the types of roles we can fill with our AIESEC talent.
All of this information is INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT to understand when you start your sales; it's the content meat to your operational bones! Embody those #TenaciousAttitudes to learn and use this information for more effective sales throughout. Good luck, Boxers!
All my love,
Eileen

O-Week, & First Impressions!
IT IS O-week for the Victoria region LCs! We are so close to 5k opens, and I'm positive we're going to make it by the end of the month. O-week is the week for you'll to get some solid interest for your semester, but something you shouldn't forget about is your own members. While servicing customers is great, you'll should be taking care of your employees as well. Read this case study on how HCL Technologies values its employees first, and knows that valuing them will ensure that they will value their customers as well. Make great first impressions on them.
Again, if you plan well, I'm sure you, and your team are absolutely going to have the best jumpstart to the semester!!
Can't wait to see us go through the O-weeks!!!
EST Update: Again, Congrats to: Saad, Alyssa, Sherlyn, Janice, Linh and Shubham!
Congrats to Linh for getting an approve and to Sherlyn for booking 2 meetings already!
On a lighter note, and continuing past tradition, the phrase I have for this week is:
"Stop ironing my head"
This is an Armenian saying which means that that person is annoying the crap out of you! So who do you think irons the most heads in the entity?
As always - can't wait to hear this!!!!
Gaurav, your MCVP PD 18.19

What's been happening with Finance?
Our LCVPFs just had our first February review where we made cool inferences about oGV & iGT, shared reports on how each LC is doing, and ultimately hacked our way through with amazing conversations, GCPs (good case practices), and BCP (bad case practices), so we can all learn and grow together!!!

CFO Quote of the Week!!!
Its important we constantly remind ourselves that we are not just the LCVPFs of our LCs, and we are for sure hell not just the accountants of our LCs, but instead we are the CFOs! So continuing with every newsletter, here's the CFO's quote of the week! Here we will dive deep into what real world CFOs share is the key to SUCESSSsssss.
Mike Schlotman, The CFO of Kroger, a major American retailing company , has this to share,
" you have to be as comfortable with the people as your are with the numbers behind a business"
This quote is super awesome because it reminds us that CFOs are humans too! As a LCVPF, this means we should always sharing what we are doing and get close to our oGV and iGT members and help them grow and succeed in our organization. We have lots of wisdom and awesome stories to share!
For our new oGV and iGT members, the LCVPFs may seem like their busy managing the finances of the LC, but feel free to reach out to them and get to know them and see what Finance is up to! I'm sure they would be more happy to share what they have been up to personally and functionally speaking.
At the end of the day, we are all AIESECers :)
