G'DAY AIESEC in AUSTRALIA
What a week it has been - we're already 7 days into August!
I had the opportunity to visit USYD last week for their orientation day and sales tour (sorry James for cat fishing you). It brought back memories to the times when I first welcomed back my first exchange participant back from Russia that leadership through exchange started to make perfect sense, in my mind AND my heart. That the change someone can experience through a 6 week experience abroad is as practical as it can be. That we're changing the world by creating opportunities to change the people that will take care of this world.
In the week ahead, I want to challenge you all to talk to someone who has been on an AIESEC exchange before - ask them how their exchange impacted them. Expose yourself to see the impact of AIESEC Exchanges. Share these stories with the people you talk to at stalls, lectures, info sessions and meetings. After all, when we can all hear it, feel it and believe it - a total stranger can too. #powerofstories
Be a global citizen by heart and action, not just by words.

hallo OGX Peeps!
What are we doing to Activate August with our efforts for oGV applicant and approval stages this week? We had our commission chat with the OGV commission during this week and we started highlighting what we have been doing to support our EPs to start applying and becoming accepted and approved to our opportunities! As we saw from last week when we updated you guys, the first criteria for the Activate August campaign, for OGV this focuses on our Opens, Applicants and conversions. Make sure that we're working towards getting those conversion activities going especially and if we need to still wrap up any training to do that, get it done this week!
Last week we were delivering Sales Tours around the nation, helping the network upskill our abilities to sell and deliver the OGV product! For those who attended, and for LCVPs reading this, what are those next steps we need to take after Sales Tours as we launch into the rest of August?
Make sure that everyone knows what activities we need to do each week to get those approves, understand what is our contribution to the overall goal. Is it getting those calls done? Is it contacting that Hosting Entity to get to the next step of the acceptance process?
Define what activities you have planned, how many is each of our members and TLs contributing to, and what is our goal to hit for applicants, accepts and approves this week?
For some of our main IR partners, we're working to coordinate Matching Manias and Early Approval activities for the end of August! Our LCVPs have gotten some updates on these activities, so reach out to them to learn more!
This week all our LCs should be defining our LC partner goals if we haven't already!

How are we growing our brand?
ACTIVATE AUGUST IS HERE PEOPLE AND WE ARE ONE WEEK INTO THINGS ALREADY!
THIS MONTH WE ARE STRIVING FOR 818 APPLICATIONS TO GLOBAL VOLUNTEER.
AT THE MOMENT WE ARE ON 88 THAT IS 730 MORE TO GO OVER THE NEXT 3 WEEKS!!
A BIG SHOUT OUT TO UNSW AND USYD FOR SMASHING OPENS OUT AND UNSW AND MQ FOR APPS!
LETS REALLY GROW OUR BRAND TO REACH THE GOALS!
How?
We need to know that branding starts internally and showcases externally.
What does this mean? am I a newbie? a veteran? a LCVP? the LCP? How am I living and leading the AIESEC values to really showcase our brand so that we can grow on our campuses and reach as many people as possible!!
Quick tips for branding ~
1. Have everyone in your LC like our Facebook page
2. Have everyone in your LC follow our Instagram channel
3. Collect all the stories of previous EPs and learn them to showcase
4. Keep all our attraction and consideration activities fast and consistent
5. Learn, learn, learn. Learn about our products. Learn about our processes. Learn about our customers!

Hello iGT Boxers!
This past week was great to meet New South Wales iGT members for Sales Tour, and Kiki has shared many good things about VIC iGT members (I'm coming for you next @UWA!).
With all this knowledge about how to perform in the attraction phase of iGT, it's really important to remember that knowledge without action is just wasted potential and no results gg. That being said, I know for a fact that all of you are capable of achieving your results as long as you can demonstrate #TenaciousAttitudes and #ConsistentActions!
Go out there, generate those leads, and get to those oh-so-important meetings because #ActivateAugust is ticking on by and it waits for no one!

Discipline
Tenacious Attitudes, Consistent Actions
A lot of what we've been doing in PD has been focused on iGT sales. The topic I did want to bring up however is Discipline. A personal focus for me in August as well, I want to build discipline, and this definitely relates to us being consistent in our actions. What companies want to see is that we care about them and want to provide them the best service possible.
A partnership we introduced was with Best University Housing in the past week. See Eileen and me signing the contract below.

Moving ahead, we really want to build on those relationships, and learn how to make sure that every relationship we create, is sustainable and available for a re-raise next semester.
So I think every week, I'll come up with a phrase or a word that is sometimes funny, hopefully motivational or symbolizes how the past week has been. So this week's word is
"Eileen and Gaurav are tight"
This is an American phrase which means we're very close friends. So use it if you want. And if you're reading this, please message me asking if me and you are tight are not!

These are the things that we need to question ourselves in the way we do TM with people in our LC. And the next thing is are we planning to do proper TL education for them to build a high performing members?
