Holy Guacamole! We're smack bang in the middle of October now. It's that time of the year where the whole of AIESEC in Australia needs to PUT all our efforts together to show the world what we're made of. Especially in face of uncertainty and challenges, to rise up and say - "ok I'll try that".
I had an intriguing catch up with one of our Australian alumni and past PAI ( home LC was USYD). He spoke about the days when AIESECers would be the YOLO bunch who'd get together to brainstorm a solution for a challenge that they were facing. Most of the time, they didn't even have the full solution but they knew they had to just move. Do something first, gather that bunch of people first and figure your way out - one step at a time. If we don't do now, when will it be? next peak?
That's something I took as a personal learning.
At times I find it hard to move until I know where to run to. But sometimes I just have to start jogging into the fog ahead and figure my way out. stop hesitating, just do it. What can happen? trip and learn? :D
It all starts with that first step.

Hello my OGX Peeps!
Last week we didn't do that good with our operations, looking at our entity GvA and where we need to be with our progress by the end of the month. As you guys know we've got Actober happening, and our goal is to hit 150 as an entire network. How we can do that is how well we perform these next two weeks to end October; THIS IS OUR LAST PUSH. But fear not, we know that we still have a few things that we can do moving into the rest of the month, and one of those key focuses is really locking in how we implement our SOP, starting with Open > APP.
Some of us are getting those action spaces in during this week to follow up with all of our EPs as soon as possible to get them to apply, and that's awesome to see the whole network start taking that action. What you can do to make sure it's the most effective are the following tips:
1. Make sure you understand what you need to communicate to EPs to get them to a consultancy chat
- Be super clear that it's near the end of the semester and that if they are still interested, they only have a limited amount of time
- Offer the service as a solution; make sure that you are indicating that any sense of urgency to make them set up a chat and start applying is to help give them the best experience
- Only communicate super clear project information and have them apply to an opportunity before closing the space! (recommend focus on one project unless you have the time or capacity to go through and study all projects within the network.
Additionally, there will be a resource that will be released within the oGV LnD to help your understanding for the Open > App process during these final weeks before exams and there will be an additional space held on THURSDAY @ 6pm Sydney time where I will explain tips and tricks on how to convert from Open > APP fast!
One final tip is to have the discipline to execute consistently, and you gotta put in the work now if you want to see the results come through!

Holy Actober, Batman! Time is flying by and we're already on our third week! Crazy stuff, mannn. Is it time to give up AIESEC work for exams? lol fuck that shit, u better not.
Want to know why? Because there's still so much that can be done and EVERY ACTION MATTERS.
To be a boxer requires Tenacious Attitudes and Consistent Actions! You not only have time left to push for results among current and new leads, but you also have time to take every single action and see how you can improve.
Check out this nifty iGT Checklist covering all things Attraction and ask, am I actually accomplishing this? If there's a single thing you haven't done, don't brush it off! Acknowledge it, and all of the other things that haven't been done. Prioritize and find the most important/urgent things you should correct and focus on that for this week!
Also, you have the opportunity to come out for a network-wide webinar this Thursday at 7pm! We'll be talking how to get your Meeting to an Open, and you don't want to miss out.
We're almost to the final round of this fight, but we're not done yet! Keep going!

Tenacious Attitudes, Consistent Actions
There's a lot going on with the MC team. Working on coaching, transition, VicCon, Product Summit, and our own functional objectives - it does seem like there's a lot on everyone's plate. And I'm sure there's a lot on your plate now too. But it's about balancing those tasks so that they become efficient and quality.
EST beauty Chi is setting up tons of meetings in the coming months with alumni. Can't wait to meet some of these cool ass people, ask them their experiences in AIESEC, and see if they have the ability to work on build the foundation for GT in the entity ;) If you know any alumni, please recommend them and we can see how we can partner with them - I think it will be cool!
On a more lighter note, as I do, every week, I will talk about a phrase or word from some part of the world so that we can be world citizens! So this weeks phrase is:
