why am i here? what am i working for?
If you have the time, sit with me to understand why the numbers we strive for are more than just numbers on a graph. It's about the stories behind every number, and the ripple of lives that are impacted by simply one change agent.
Our work is life-changing, our work is purposeful, and our work is real.
I hope you reflect this week on how your everyday actions are contributing to a better world - a world of Peace and the Fulfilment of Humankind's potential.

xixWhat role can MaC play in conversion?
Conversion isn't just about OGX sending emails to your Opens - how else can MaC support OGX in converting all your Opens to Applicants before it's too late?
Here are a few things to think about this week:
Conversion isn't just about OGX sending emails to your Opens - how else can MaC support OGX in converting all your Opens to Applicants before it's too late?
Here are a few things to think about this week:
- What do my Opens need in order to convert, and what spaces or materials can we create in order to support OGX?
- Have you spoken to your VP OGX about some bottlenecks they're facing in conversion? From there you can see how you can support them best.
- How can you transform your planned Attraction events to also support Conversion, and ensure your Opens are 1) gaining value from coming to the events and 2) aware and keen about it?

ICX Weekly Priority:
a) Break Lead Generation to Lead Connected Conversion rate:
Right now our conversion rate is really low, the lack of activity or not recording activity is showing that our portfolio is not performing in the best way possible. Incentive your members to do more contacts and record them in PODIO.
b) Follow up, Follow up and Follow up:
Not only continue following up your current leads, but also follow up the meetings that you have attended. It's really important to remember that after the meeting the sale is not close and we have to keep following up, not as often as we used to do it with Leads but at least every 2 or 3 days, with a call and an email.
c) Smart Sales:
After you attend a meeting you have a good or a bad feeling. If you know that this company is not going to close that contract only follow up once send what the ask and put that company on stand by, follow up every week. You have to concentrate your effort and time on the company that actually showed a strong willingness to partner with AIESEC.
If you are not sure whether the company wants to partner with AIESEC or not, do a few follow ups and sense their commitment to close as soon as possible if you don't feel a possible yes. As the sale person you know that you need to move to a better prospect.

Australia & Fiji!
Last week I had a great call with Ginny, the MCP of Fiji. Fiji is currently under expansion status for the past 1.5 months, and Ginny is working to establish AIESEC there to develop leadership in Fijian youth. Originally from Vietnam, she is living and working abroad alone yet with a passion to see AIESEC's incredible opportunities available for Fiji and eventually more Pacific Islands!
I first met Ginny in the Australia-Vietnam delegation meeting at International Congress 2015 in India, and 1.5 years later we're working together to build a stronger Pacific region. It's amazing to see where the people you meet go and contribute to make the world a better place!

Shout out to AIESEC in Monash for 80 Opens in their SDG Cookie stall last week! They had cookies at the stall, and asked people to take a photo with their favourite SDG to get a free cookie, and then used that as an opportunity to show them how their GV opportunities made an impact on their favourite SDGs. Keep it up, Erica and team!
