THE URGENT vs the IMPORTANT
When it comes to prioritisation one thing I always use is the URGENT-IMPORTANT matrix.
Ensuring the right culture and mindset in the LC is important.
Trying to calm down and negotiate with an angry EP is urgent.
Taking the time to ensure all members to go on meetings is important.
Needing to hit this month's budgeted goals to pay your losses is urgent.
Important means: long-term, foundational, coherent, in the interest of many, strategic, efficient, positive...
If you take care of important things, the urgent things don't show up as often. The opposite is never true.
It's now mid-May - are you taking care of the things that are actually important or the things that are just urgent but not important?
(Remember, winter promotions close 28th May, and from then the great summer peak starts!)
Have a great week!

Attractions never stops!
It just adapts based on what the market is experiencing right now. Campus activity may be slowing down and students may be focusing more on studying at the moment - but what can you do to still attract 20 new Opens a week?

ICX Results
ICX Weekly Priority:
a) Follow up, Follow up and Follow up:
Not only continue following up your current leads, but also follow up the meetings that you have attended. It's really important to remember that after the meeting the sale is not close and we have to keep following up, not as often as we used to do it with Leads but at least every 2 or 3 days, with a call and an email.
b) Smart Sales:
After you attend a meeting you have a good or a bad feeling. If you know that this company is not going to close that contract only follow up once send what the ask and put that company on stand by, follow up every week. You have to concentrate your effort and time on the company that actually showed a strong willingness to partner with AIESEC.
If you are not sure whether the company wants to partner with AIESEC or not, do a few follow ups and sense their commitment to close as soon as possible if you don't feel a possible yes. As the sale person you know that you need to move to a better prospect.

What's Happening around the network
Meet Kenny & the UR Team at AIESEC in UNSW! Congratulations on getting 28 opens through lecture bashes last week :D
Their secret: tailoring their lecture bashes to the subject they were pitching to, and focusing on promoting Teach for China (oGT sub-product focus) and education GV projects to Arts and Education students. They engage students with questions and get lecturers to post a flyer and the national sign-up form link on the subject blackboard.
Keep it up, and everyone else - make it happen! :D

Meet Akila! She first went on an AIESEC exchange in 2015 to Poland with AIESEC in Macquarie, and she recently got Approved to a Global Talent opportunity in Canada, for 30% off!
Fun fact: all past EPs get 30% off their next exchange! When was the last time you reached out to past promoters to sell them new opportunities that are relevant to them?
Some of your past EPs from a year or two ago may be graduating now - Global Talent or Global Entrepreneur might be exactly what they need!
New South Wales is holding their YouthSpeak Forum this Saturday, bringing together youth and organisations to discuss how youth can take action towards the SDGs. All the best to the team, looking forward to it being a great event!
