shape leadership stories with the people that shape you
Last month, I wrote a lot about momentum and focusing on what we can control. The more we create and sustain the pace, rhythm and routines of our activities, the more important it is to remember what we're really gaining out of the process as we do it.
Of the five photos I chose to display on my personal Facebook profile, they all contain important people in my life that I've met through this organisation. We asked you in August - "what are the top three things you enjoy about your AIESEC experience?" and overwhelmingly, people and community were answers that came back. I'm no different.
People join AIESEC for different reasons, they come and go. When they stay? You know you're in for a challenging and worthwhile journey towards that common purpose you must work towards together. It's what I've been lucky enough to experience for 5+ years and I wish you the same.
What will be the story we create every day with the people that shape us, to shape 540 young people's lives this summer?

Remembering from the commission chat that we had yesterday - what inferences can we pull from the data that we gained from the TM audit? How can I use this information to move people in our LC towards #540Co this summer? September is about APPLICANTS. What needs to happen within our membership, our team leaders, our VPs and our LCPs in order to make this happen?
I want to bring you guys a step back - what was the whole purpose of being able to see the % of our members productive? Yes we can be doing "performance management" - but the point behind it was never to see a %. It was to understand the people in the organisation and how we can better serve them in order to move closer to PnF (through exchange).
By the time that we speak to each other next, it will be the end of September! My wish for you from now until then, is to really be able to understand your membership from a grounded approach and adjust your people management processes at the same time! To no longer see this as an administrative process, but as an integral part to enhancing our members experience to deliver more leadership through exchange. It's time to walk the talk!
