Hello OGV Fertilizers!
Oweek Oweek Oweek! This week we have most of our LCs starting their Oweek attraction! Good luck to everyone that has events during the next couple of days, we've already had a a few LCs experience a lot of success so far with their attraction performance so that's already super awesome! For all the new members that are reading this, don't be worried or scared if it'll be your first time going through and doing your first attraction event with AIESEC. Just relax, be yourself, ask questions about the person you're talking to, and see what needs you can understand and can AIESEC support them with it! Simple as that!

This week we're also working on preparing to have our Global Volunteer CEEDer (Cultural Envoy for Exchange Development) come to Australia from Taiwan! We will be having Julie, the Member Committee Vice President of Global Volunteer for Taiwan come in and educate/train our network on how to best communicate Taiwan opportunities to our exchange participants! She'll be arriving next week and we're super excited to have her here!

Long time on and off follower of Gary V I am and this month I'm really getting back into his style and ideas. He always reminds of a few key messages: 1) authenticity is everything 2) caring is king 3) self awareness and empathy always wins 4) marketing is about giving value. If you havn't already check out his social media and internet loaded resources Gary Vaynerchuk not endorsed but willing to be paid for it ;)

iGT
Hello iGT Boxers!
How is your week going? How are your operations going? As we've talked about for the past couple weeks, we're officially back in the Attraction sales peak, but it'll only get kicked off through your hard work. While most of the senior members are helping out with open accounts or prepping some iGT materials, don't forget to also be generating some new leads and following up on that old pipeline.
It may seem that if you look through Hubspot or Sales Navigator, the amount of leads we can generate are getting depleted. However, keep in mind that even with the many leads we've contacted before, there are soooo many businesses in the cities we work in that we haven't contacted them all. What this calls for is a couple of smart and strategic options:
1. Contact previous leads again! I'm not simply referring to the current warm leads, but leads your LC has contacted at least four months back. Think about how many of the companies we either never got an answer from, or told us to contact them in a couple months time, or even just didn't do leadgens properly to even warrant a "properly contacted company". We burn through a lot of leads and assume that because they said no once, they'll always say no again, but that's not the case! Feel free to recontact them again.
2. Think creatively about how you can contact more companies! Not all of them list themselves on Sales Navigator. Try going to a networking event to meet a host of new people, brainstorming your LC's personal company connections, or even just rocking up to a street of offices. There are so many things you can do, you just have to try them!
Let's demonstrate our #TenaciousAttitudes this sales peak!
All my love,
Eileen

O-Week, O-What?
IT IS O-week for most LCs! Time flies by and I remember preparing for O-week. But it's here before you know it, and we're halfway through some of the LCs O-weeks. It's such a solid goal to have - 5k opens! And the reason we have this goal is because we believe that the you, as LCs and as leaders of your LCs CAN, and WILL ACHIEVE IT! It's great to see things falling into place for the LCs - it makes us, on the MC, a lot happier than you can imagine. Keep the momentum going and I'm sure you'll are going to reap the benefits from it.
Again, if you plan well, I'm sure you, and your team are absolutely going to have the best jumpstart to the semester!!
Can't wait to see us go through the O-weeks!!!
EST Update: Again, Congrats to: Saad, Alyssa, Sherlyn, Janice, Linh and Shubham!
SECOND EST call - all plans are almost done, and people have started performing. It's great to be a part of this team. I absolutely love it.
On a lighter note, and continuing past tradition, the phrase I have for this week is:
"Jugaadu"
Now to understand this, you need to understand the culture in India. Jugaadu comes from the Hindi word - Jugaad, which means "to make the most of the resources we have around us (resourceful)" In layman terms, you could say that this person is extremely STREET SMART and knows how to get their way around life! So who do you think is the most Jugaadu in the entity?
As always - can't wait to hear this!!!!
Gaurav, your MCVP PD 18.19

Hi Bubble Teas!
Hope your induction is kicking ass as usual! Remember that induction is one of the most important touchpoint for you to start building the culture for the next semester. So what's after that? What can I do as an LCVP TM to prepare for winter peak?

CFO Quote of the Week!!!
Its important we constantly remind ourselves that we are not just the LCVPFs of our LCs, and we are for sure hell not just the accountants of our LCs, but instead we are the CFOs! So continuing with every newsletter, here's the CFO's quote of the week! Here we will dive deep into what real world CFOs share is the key to SUCESSSsssss.
Carol Tomé, The CFO of Home Depot, a major American home improvement supplies retailing company, has this to share,
" You need to become a master of connecting with your audience. "
Expanding on this quote, Carol shares this story;
"'During my first presentation to investors as Home Depot's CFO, an investor on the front row fell asleep. He wasn't fighting nodding off… he didn't close his eyes for just a second… he didn't have a glazed look in his eyes. He fell asleep and fell off his chair.
'After that, I understood immediately that you can know the numbers and the strategies behind them better than anyone, but if you can't communicate well and tell your company's story in a way that engages the investor and analyst community, you are toast."
This particular stood out to me for two key reasons. 1. We always talk about the importance of Reporting in Finance. It creates accountability and transparency; it gets everyone on board with Finance and knows what is happening so they feel ownership over the financial goals. It allows everyone to make stronger financial decisions. But the thing to keep in mind is that not everyone comes from a financial background, so as LCVPFs as we start our terms, its okay to have a "boring" meeting, but the most important thing is to constantly evaluate how you are communicating with your EB and Members and always look for ways to improve. Put the FUN in FUN-ance. 2. As most LCs start their O-week, everyone is focusing on training and building capacity with new members. Their learning what AIESEC is while also learning how to pitch, and juggling these two things is no easy task. So looking into what Carol shares, don't forget the big picture beyond the textbook/functional facts/knowledge, but also focus on how as an EB you will connect with the newbies and build your newbies to know how to connect with your EPs during pitches. The last thing we want to become is fact-spitting machine, talking about numbers and not realizing our audience is falling asleep ;)
