growth should not be the objective -
it should be the consequence of your success.
After an exciting 3 weeks of SydCon and attending Asia Pacific MCP Summit in Nepal, I have come back grateful for my learnings of what this entity could achieve.
At December National Conference excellence awards, I was incredibly proud to see the entities who have excelled in what they do and lived and led the AIESEC way. We have all made decisions that bring our entity forward in sustainability and long-term success. But at the end of the day, if the entity hasn't grown or become better from the year before, then we haven't succeeded - not that we did something wrong but that we missed something along the way.
Now I'm not going to sugarcoat anything - AIESEC in Australia is #1 in the world that is dropping in oGV, and #1 in Asia Pacific dropping overall in all products. I'm not proud of it, and I'm not here to wallow in what could have been or why it happened. I'm here to remind us what we can do tomorrow to be the best that we can be.
We have an enormous opportunity - today is only the 12th of December and our summer ends at the end of February. And we have so many entities in AP and beyond that still have HUNDREDS of opportunities open for summer! So what are we going to do about it?
Because at the end of the day, we don't inherit AIESEC from our ancestors. We borrow it from our members who have not even joined the organiastion yet. It's time to be fearless - let's achieve #300 approves in January. (See below - and all the best!)

December Comments
oGV:
Congratulations to all the LCs who are still getting APPRs - it's not too late to Approve EPs to projects happening in December! It's RE peak now as well - ensure you are delivering LEAD to all your EPs! If you're not developing leadership in your EPs based on their LDA and the defining elements of the Leadership Qualities, then you're not doing an AIESEC exchange.
oGT:
Congratulations ANU, UNSW and UQ for the APPRs this week! It's not too late to find fresh applicants - have you tried to tap the graduate market virtually? As with oGV - we're not an internship provider but a leadership development organisation, so ensure all your EPs are receiving LEAD and developing their leadership.
oGE:
oGE Analytics are finally separated from oGT! :D This is the first step in treating oGE as a separate product - in how we market it and how we deliver it as well - though delivering it should still focus on how we develop leadership through exchange.
iGT:
Congratulations to Usyd for 2 new approves during las week, we have some Opens that are now in progress to be approved, remember if you need more profiles you can contact directly the entities, they are looking for Opportunities as well :P. We have 14 opens to go, keep pushing those companies and start with the Magic of AIESEC, Value Delivery.

Thank you AIESEC in Australia for an incredible election process - your active participation, critical thinking and maturity in understanding your responsibility for this entity has been amazing.
Thank you to the 6 MCP candidates who fearlessly stood for election to give the entity everything they had and all the dreams it could be. You are all an inspiration to us and we wish you the best in your future endeavours - we know you have great things to offer to AIESEC and the world :)
Good luck Jessie - we look forward to hearing from you soon! For now - enjoy your MC term in Malaysia!
