In 2018, we strived to achieve significant leadership through exchange as our main thing. We've made progress towards 540 completes as our numerical translation of what it means to be achieving significant leadership through exchange. And we're continuing to make progress towards it because
completes are still rolling in + this is the period we expect to see more coming in!

Prize Claim
1. The Winner will be able to select their price first, followed by the runner up and second runner up.
2. The Prize must be claimed by 31 Jan 2019 9PM GMT+11. No late claims will be accepted.
3. Please claim the prize by getting your LCP to inform Maggie of your LC/individual's #1, #2 and #3 preferred prize via email at [email protected].
4. In the scenario that the winner claims the same prize (informing Maggie at 8:59PM GMT+11) that a runner up has expressed their interest to claim at an earlier time - the winner will receive the prize and the runner up will receive their second preference.

How are we growing our brand internally to showcase externally?
2019! START OF A NEW SPANKING YEAR ~
Helloo all currents and elects ~ I hope you're all have a great uni-break and have had the chance to breathe, catch up, have fun, whatever it is that you've chosen to do and continue to make the most of the month ahead!
Near the end of 2018 I've been following these guys on social media called "Yes Theory", and they've got this awesome tagline -
"Seek Discomfort" and boy did I instantly feel the power of these words and how it resonates with my experience here in AIESEC so far. It's always those challenging, discomforting, scary things that really push you to grow. So this year in 2019 part of the many things I wish to do, an approach I wish to take inspired by these people is to say yes to more and seek discomfort inside and outside of AIESEC - How about you?
OPERATIONAL REMINDERS:
1. LC Plans have just been submitted the previous week and I hope you guys will be finishing your transitions and reviewing these plans to let 2019 be a bigger and better year for your LCs.
2. BA say what? People are on exchange, how will we make the most of their stories (an EST is coming up to help us with this very soon)
3. Recruitment is open now! I've emailed a few considerations for elects
4. Got spanking new ideas and things you wish to challenge to make marketing grow even more? Feel free to message and speak your mind! We're only going to live 2019 once ;)
EST is OPEN - many many marketing roles available for elects and currents to support the growth of this entity in 2019!

I think that's been a popular oGX slogan in the past, but we're stealing it for IGT AIESECers because 2019 is your year! 2019 is chock full of development and personal growth like never before, but you gotta take action to see it happen!
Speaking of the new year, companies are super ripe in January after a refreshing holiday break, which means it's time to strike. You should have pipeline of leads from last semester that haven't contacted you back yet or postponed conversations. January is the month to rekindle relationships and follow up on previous accounts! Get some closure with these accounts and clean out the pipeline during this month so that February can be focused on generating fresh new leads. Call them, email them, LinkedIn DM them, and get back in those meetings to get those opens and accepts!

NEW YEAR, NEW ME?
HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone and hope this year is the best you can make for yourselves!
One thing that’s super common to New Years is resolutions, and 88% of people fail to commit to their resolutions by the end of January - that’s barely 30 days into the month.
Now the psychology behind resolutions lies in the mentality that - “new year, new me” which is great to be honest, but you need to abide by it to become the “new you”. So after some reading, I came across an article that made me answer 7 questions about my resolution and how I can increase the likelihood of me sticking to them.
7 questions for your NYResolution:
1. Is the resolution to bring change to yourself or someone else? (Do it for yourself, you’ll be more motivated)
2. What’s your benefit of keeping the resolution? (Tangible pros)
3. What will you lose if you stick to your words? (Understand the downside of it too)
4. What obstacles have stopped you from keeping to it in the past? (If you understand them, there’s a higher chance you’ll get rid of them)
5. Are you making one that’s doable? (More doable, the easier it is to be motivated)
6. How much support do you need from others? (Reach our to them)
7. What will you do differently to make sure you stick to it? (If you say it out loud or write it down, the likelihood of you doing it is more!)

On a lighter note, and continuing past tradition to the new year, the word I have for this week is:
"Bagging Up"
While it may sound something to do with bags, it’s actually a slang from a state in the US - Delaware. Bagging up means laughing out loudly. So if someone from the entity “bags you up” - let me know!
